I need to do a history essay and I chose 911 conspiracy theories, but I find it confusing because if it was the government who initiated all of the events of that day what was their goal? Was it to go to war with Iraq by making it look like it was their fault? Or was the goal something else?

There are more questions and conspiracy theories about the underwear bomber arising. Webster Tarpley says that Mutalab was a patsy and wasnt taken off the flight because the government was trying to get more information from him later on. There was an objection from one government agency however, Tarpley also says that government agencies did not talk with each other about this and the government knew that he was going to plant a bomb.

does the peoples rejection of most conspiracy theories give the government/elitists the upper hand when they want to do something secretive because they know they can get away with it”? Do they think that even if someone catches on that most will consider it a conspiracy theory and they will basically get away with it? Especially today with new theories floating around. And the bigger the evil deed the better. Looks more unbelievable.

I have just been researching some of the theories, like area 51, 9/11, federal reserve, planet x. I am still debating on what i believe and don’t believe, trying to differentiate what is fact and what is fiction. What conspiracy do you believe and why and what is your political affiliation?
